Environmental Actions
Our youth cohorts receive specialized training in green entrepreneurship, developing eco-friendly, bio-based products derived from local biodiversity to drive sustainable socioeconomic livelihoods. Additionally, participants acquire advanced technical competencies through specialized scuba diving certifications. This comprehensive capacity-building model directly empowers club members to design and execute impactful environmental initiatives across their regional ecosystems.

Underwater Clean-up Campaigns
Our participants systematically organize and coordinate targeted coastal and underwater clean-up operations within the Apoyo Lagoon Nature Reserve, while partnering with national networks to support broader community conservation efforts. These continuous actions directly address and mitigate the critical threats that microplastics and solid waste impose on aquatic food webs, localized trophic chains, and aquatic biodiversity.
The Naturalism School provides professional scuba training, certifying local youth up to PADI Open Water and Advanced Diver levels as part of our technical capacity-building mandate. Consequently, these certified young divers commit to regular marine operations, actively executing underwater restoration and continuous marine debris removal.
Environmental Talks
Our network undergoes rigorous technical instruction covering vital ecological thematic areas, including climate change adaptation, ecosystem dynamics, watershed management, and biodiversity conservation. Facilitated by senior scientists and environmental specialists, these sessions are coupled with intensive public speaking and leadership workshops. This methodology prepares participants to act as effective peer-to-peer educators, delivering structured environmental presentations to schools and youth groups across rural communities.
Consequently, our trained leaders design and deploy targeted environmental advocacy campaigns. These initiatives are strategically engineered to drive measurable behavioral shifts among children and youth, effectively halting localized ecosystem degradation and mitigating regional biodiversity loss.

Scientific Research
The Naturalism School provides comprehensive technical consultancy to establish community-led biodiversity monitoring programs and construct regional Biodiversity Atlases from the ground up. By training local youth and community members as certified lead monitors, we build grassroots institutional capacity to systematically collect high-quality, standardized biological data that meets international scientific benchmarks.
This collaborative model transforms localized field observations into structured, open-source repositories and scalable digital mapping tools, empowering territories to track climate impacts, guide environmental policy, and drive strategic conservation investments.
