The Naturalism School is a Nonprofit organization that promotes environmental knowledge, learning and awareness among youth in rural communities in Nicaragua, through educational activities and initiatives to improve livelihoods.

what we do

educate

We educate the community youth about biodiversity, conservation elements, functions and ecological dynamics of the natural ecosystems of Nicaragua.

capacitate

We capacitate the community youth in communication techniques, rescue techniques, first aid and primary and secondary care for victims of accidents and natural disasters.

contribute

We contribute to conservation by providing data through field observations in real time to the digital platforms such as e-bird and iNaturalist, as a way to enrich knowledge and understand the changes in the ecosystem.

replicate

We produce didactic tools for replication processes of this type of programs and for environmental education programs.

We aim to be a reference in the process of creating a chain of knowledge among youth in the rural Nicaraguan communities.

In our regular encounters we learn different topics through lectures, workshops, field trips, discussion forums led and accompanied by expert specialists with experience in scientific research.

Our goal is to develop skills to create a self-sustaining community.

We are looking for VOLUNTEERS who want to help us reach more rural communities in Nicaragua and expand the knowledge and skills of the existing members.
